    The 8th and 9th Star Wars movies were such a mess. What if space balls 2 parodied these movies, but ended up with a more coherent plot?

    They should definitely do a Disney and rehash the original plot to Spaceballs. Megamaid is now Gigamaid and somehow President Skroob returned.

    Spaceballs included a send-up of the craven merchandising of Star Wars etc, so the fact they are doing this is on point.

    "Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money" was a joke, until it wasn't. I'm happy to see Mel Brooks being his mercenary self only a step from the grave, but he could probably do better than retreads of old IP. Maybe make fun of the Marvel movies instead?
