My 11-year-old loves Fortnite, which is mostly fine—but I’d love to shift some of that screen time toward something more creative or productive.
We’ve tried programming with Scratch, but it didn’t quite click. He’s into drawing, but that’s not really my expertise. I’ve been toying with the idea of building a custom computer together, letting him choose all the components, case, lights, and really make it his own.
What are your kids into in 2025? What are the coolest computer-based activities, games, or projects out there that mix fun with learning? I’d love to hear what’s worked for your family.
