If you are always "anti-" this or that, you are letting your opposition control the agenda, which is exactly what they want. Also the imagery of V is for Vendetta, Pink Floyd's The Wall, The Hunger Games and such is seductive: sometimes I wonder if "anti-fascists" are just jealous that somebody else has a better uniform with cool boots.

A friend of mine was an early adopter of "anti-fascism" by about a decade; she wanted to be a filmmaker, though she had ideas in her that were so dangerous she might be assassinated (delusions of grandeur.) One summer she led video crews at a music festival and had us do a multi-camera shoot that was way beyond any shoot I'd been involved with. She could have made a DVD and sold it at the next year's festival but she wound up editing it at the last minute and instead of selling DVDs or shooting more footage she was at home duplicating them and brought a small stack of discs on the last day when everybody was leaving. The year after that she stiffed my wife for a whole crop of magic mushrooms my wife grew that she sold at the festival, turned out she was an opiate addict at this time and spent it all on her fix.

Now she's clean but wears a mask everywhere she goes and doesn't want to talk about anything but face masks.

Find a better movement and better people to get involved with.
