Everyone knows YTP's. They peaked in the early 2000s and are still going somehow. I never see anyone talk about the "edited" video's. Search "spongebob edited" or any other popular media at the time (usually cartoons from the early to mid 2000s).
I feel like I've never seen anyone talk about these even though ones like "grandma's kisses" got over a million views.
It seems the only real difference is that unlike YTP's changing around what characters say to sound funny. Edited videos just slap in pngs and soundbytes from popular 2000s movies & comedians over what the characters are saying.
These video's are totally cancer now and i could never watch them again but I feel like they are a big part of youtube & internet history that nobody mentions. I remember hearing spongebob drop f bombs and laughing my ass off at like 12 years old.
