Ask HN: "Autolabel" in Gmail?

Today a new "feature" appeared in Gmail: A "autolabel" button. And it displaces other icons as it appears/disappears "randomly". Is it another step from Google to the shitfication of things ?

    I'm gonna guess it's some "a.i." powered thing that offers suggestions on how to label e-mails?

    Because we must shoe-horn a.i. into EVERYTHING to keep the numbers going up, so the status quo apple-cart doesn't get too upset by the riff-raff and their outlandish demands.
