I personally paid for Fortran compilers from Absoft, Lahey, Microsoft, NA Software, Imagine1 (for the F subset of Fortran), Digital, and Compaq in the past. The former two are no longer sold, and Compaq Visual Fortran became Intel Fortran, which is now free. I would be open to paying for a compiler if it is better than free offerings.

I have in the distant past. I am so grateful I don’t have to anymore. Even the embedded space seems to have mostly ditched for-pay IDEs and compilers.

What does "programming language" mean? A compiler?

10 usd/month or something
Would you pay to buy a programming language? How much would you pay?
