    It isn't.

    First, Rails is slow. I've never used a Rails-based app and thought "wow, this is fast".

    Second, you probably don't want to use Rails to build your front-end. We've come a long way and there are way better front-end tools to use.

    Third, because of the second point, you need a developer who knows Javscript/Typescript, and Rails. This is harder to find than just someone who knows Typescript.

    Fourth, it's easier to find talent by not using Rails.

    There are real reasons why Node.js overtook Rails and they haven't changed in 2024.
