The new generation of AI research + genetic programming is basically leading to a scenario where the organizations in charge can lead to a new genetic world order.
Eugenics2.0 - you can engineer viruses that you are immune to or have cures for but can spread with the rest of the population.
We are seeing this with a not-to-be-named entity now destroying a not-to-be-unnamed entity with remotely. We are seeing remote battles happening where the instruments and wielders of destruction are decoupled from the destroyed via an intermediary - we have seen this in media - whenever information disintermediated with proxies you tend to resort to more polarized behaviour.
Our rate of technological progress means that the frontiers whether on the biological scale or the computing scale, will to planet scale or evolutionary scale impact rather than economic scale.
IMO, the only counterbalance is to go to open source and open governance of both AI and genetics. We don't have a free market anymore in either.
