I use BackBlaze and I'm fairly happy with it. Do be sure to check through the file time exclusions though... it didn't default to saving my videos, which wouldn't have been good.
It is $9/month/machine these days for unlimited personal backup. Throw everything on to a drive on your machine, make a local copy of that from time to time, and backblaze in case of local disaster, and you should be good to go.

Just pay for iCloud or Google storage and share it with your family. It's cheap and effective. What's the problem?
Hey HN, What's the simple way of backing family stuff up in 2024?
With stuff, I mean photos taken with iPhones, random documents, a place to put pre-iOS photos.
Access pattern would be more for trips down memory lane rather than automatic restoration.
Preferably I'd like some cloud syncing thing that also supports syncing to a physical drive every once in a while.
Currently my stuff is all spread out between iCloud, Flickr, dropbox and god knows where.
I'm happy to pay reasonable for it.
Any advice?
