Ask HN: How to learn advertising as a Software Developer?

This time I believe I have built quite a useful side project but I just have no idea how to advertise it. Where do I begin? Are there any courses or something? Or should I just try buying Instagram / Google ads?

    There are plenty of places to get early feedback without spending money. Don't waste money on ads before trying the many free options.
