Well firstly there’s so much salesmanship in email newsletters it’s hard to muster the attention to read them. Stop 1 would be no html content, remove tracking, remove sensationalism…. After they get wet might be talking. Something like RSS is a much better solution than email though.

People consume newsletters?
- I don't get much context from the subject line about what to expect from a newsletter edition.
- Managing emails becomes overwhelming - the volume and clutter make it hard to navigate and avoid constant notifications throughout the day.
- The consistency of reading all newsletter editions - maybe this one is just me.
- Most newsletters have a peak for their best content, then they go downhill. But we still have those newsletters coming in our inbox - because of their weird unsubscription process.
