While I am learning during the daily grind, I am not able to set aside a few days (let alone a few hours) to fully immerse myself in learning while on the clock.
Instead, I spend chunks of nights/weekends investigating new libraries and languages.
This appears to be the norm.
Not saying this is good or bad, there must be a better approach to learning while you have a full-time role.
Does your firm facilitate/approve on the clock learning? If so, do you take advantage of it? Does it help you and your team?
